Mimi in the Oliver Dress and Mayfair Skirt

A romantic, playful celebration at Ivy Lodge, and one dress that became two entirely different looks.

"I loved being able to create two really different looks from the same dress." Mimi came to Halfpenny with a clear sense of who she is and how she wanted to feel, and found exactly that in the Oliver dress, styled two ways across the day.

THE DRESS

For the ceremony, Mimi chose the Oliver dress paired with the Mayfair skirt and a simple picot veil. "I loved the clean silhouette of the Oliver paired with the gorgeous ruffles of the Mayfair skirt — it felt classic and bridal, but still elevated and a little unexpected." As the evening began, the Mayfair skirt came off and the Issa shrug went on — a transformation that shifted the look entirely." The Issa felt super cool and fun to wear for the party." The same dress, two distinct moments, and a versatility that felt entirely intentional.

THE DAY

Mimi and Tom wanted their wedding to feel like an invitation into their world: romantic and playful in equal measure, honouring the ritual of the day while keeping the celebration relaxed and fun. Ivy Lodge provided the perfect backdrop, while more unexpected elements came through in the fashion, flowers and styling. Oysters on the terrace, the best tiramisu, custom skeleton rings from Cece Jewellery, and a room full of people who left, as they had hoped, feeling part of something very special.
