When Mili Ward-Beazley stepped into Halfpenny London’s boutique, her vision of a romantic garden wedding began to take shape. Guided by founder Kate Halfpenny, the process unfolded as a balance of timeless elegance, modern volume, and unexpected details, that perfectly reflected a celebration as unique as the bride herself.
“I loved working with Kate on my bridal look,” Mili shares. “When I came in for my first appointment, I told her a little about our wedding and she instantly picked out a few options, all of which I loved and captured the essence of the day beautifully. She completely got my style and understood my vision for the look.”
After trying different variations of dresses, veils and separates, one look stood out above the rest. Mili chose the sculptural Okotan corset paired with the voluminous Rihanna skirt. “I felt like a princess; the perfect combination of elegance and playfulness,” she says. “I hadn’t seen a skirt like the Rihanna before.”
The Kerry veil brought the full look together. “I also loved the transformable veil which I wore both in my hair, and clipped into the back of the corset to create multiple different looks throughout the day. It doubled up as a veil as well as sleeves — iconic.”
“I absolutely loved every second of wearing my Halfpenny bridal look,” Mili reflects. “Kate truly made my bridal dreams come true.”
Set against a flourishing garden backdrop, Mili and Morgan’s wedding day was filled with sentimental touches that reflected their style. The transformable veil gave her the freedom to shift her look throughout the celebration, from the ceremony to the reception, ensuring her bridal style evolved with each moment of the day.
