Stunning Rosa | A Halfpenny London Bride

Beautiful bride Rosa and her new husband Martin celebrated their love with a rustic and relaxed wedding at a finca-turned-villa in the Tramuntana mountains last July, followed by dinner amongst the orange trees.

“We tried to add plenty of personal touches,” Rosa said. “My husbands sister designed the invites and welcome sign and his school band played in the evening (a risk that paid off fortunately). We carried our baby down the aisle, so no flowers (a baby bouquet?!)”

I adore all these personal touches but the last one was my favourite by far!

Rosa’s wedding dress search lead her to our flagship boutique in Bloomsbury.

“I was spoilt for choice at Halfpenny, immediately falling in love with half the dresses (& accessories!). I didn’t have any idea what I’d end up wearing, so trying on so many styles and feeling so excited by so many of them was really good fun. I was torn between three dresses, but my sister convinced me the Harbour dress and Beale skirt combination was the one to go with - a simple silhouette with beautiful detail - maybe that set the tone for the wedding theme!

I’d also just like to say that I’m particularly grateful for Summer, who helped me with my fittings. I bought my dress in January 2020 and ended up wearing it in July 2022, 4 months after having my daughter. To say that changed my shape is an understatement!! I was dreading the fitting, but she immediately put me at ease and made me feel confident in my dress which was nothing short of a miracle.”

I love that Rosa felt empowered by her choice of dress and I’m thrilled she found our boutique and allowed us to be part of her wedding journey. Wishing this gorgeous couple all the love and luck in the world for their new adventures together.

Love,
