For Holly, finding her bridal look at Halfpenny London became one of the most joyful moments of wedding planning. She embraced the freedom of building a look through separates, creating something that felt entirely authentic to her style and perfectly suited to a winter celebration in the city.
THE DRESS
“Finding my bridal look with Halfpenny London was one of the most joyful and treasured parts of wedding planning,” Holly shares. “The moment I stepped into the London studio I felt completely at ease.”
She chose the Ada Dress, Oliver Dress, Issa Shrug, and a Halfpenny blusher veil, carefully layering pieces to allow her look to evolve throughout the day. For the ceremony, Holly wore the Ada Dress, drawn to its lace detailing, long sleeves, and high neckline. “The perfect balance of traditional yet with a modern twist” for a London winter wedding.
Pairing the Ada Dress over the Oliver Dress created the silhouette she had envisioned, while also allowing for a dramatic transformation later in the evening. “For the party, I could take off the Ada Dress and wear the Oliver Dress with the Issa Shrug which was the perfect surprise for guests.”
The Issa Shrug became the defining piece of her evening look. “It completely transformed my earlier more classy traditional look without feeling fussy. It added so much movement and texture to my look, whilst also feeling really modern and different.”
THE DAY
Holly and Billy envisioned a wedding that felt timeless and atmospheric without leaning into anything overtly seasonal. Hosting their reception at Control Room A, Battersea Power Station, they focused on creating a setting that was contemporary.
“The vision for our wedding day was about creating something classy, atmospheric and timeless,” Holly explains, with an emphasis on entertainment and guest experience. The result was exactly what they hoped for: “one massive party.”
