"I immediately burst into tears, and I'm definitely not a crier." For Carys, the moment she tried on the Spencer corset and Ava skirt, any uncertainty dissolved. It wasn't what she had imagined, and it was exactly right.
THE DRESS
Carys chose the Spencer corset, Ava skirt and Periwinkle veil, a combination she found at the Halfpenny London store with the guidance of Aideen. "I had never felt more like myself, and everything came together so beautifully." What could have been one of the more daunting parts of wedding planning became, in her words, one of the calmest and most joyful — an experience she says she would revisit without hesitation.
THE DAY
Held at Quinta Lago Dos Cisnes in Portugal, the day unfolded with an atmosphere of quiet magic. Carys had always held a clear vision for her wedding, and the dress met it completely. The moment she will carry longest: descending the stairs into the ceremony on her father's arm, family and friends gathered below. "So many of our guests said it looked as though I was floating through the clouds." It was, she says simply, pure magic and absolute perfection.
