“From day one of planning our wedding I knew Halfpenny was the only place I wanted to get my wedding dress from,” Amber reflects. The dress was never just about how it looked, but how it felt. “The goal was old Hollywood glamour… what would Grace Kelly wear today if she was alive. And I think we achieved it.”

From the very first appointment, Amber describes being made to feel “incredibly special,” with every detail carefully considered. “Every word I said was listened to and remembered,” she shares, crediting Aideen for her warmth and care throughout the journey. It was an experience that felt both intimate and considered, allowing her bridal vision to unfold with clarity and confidence.

THE DRESS

Amber chose the Cheryl dress paired with the Dahlia skirt and Picot edge two tier veil, a combination that brought together classic romance and modern versatility.

The journey to the final look began unexpectedly. “Two days before my first fitting, I saw a post on the Halfpenny Instagram of the most beautiful dress and skirt which I sent to my mum. We were both just in awe.” That image became a turning point. “When the fitting came about, this was the first dress I tried on and it was the dress I walked away with. When you know, you know.”

The ability to personalise the look was key to its magic. “The ability to choose a dress that many brides have worn before me but personalise it with your skirt and veil of choice is such a special way to feel like a Halfpenny bride whilst feeling like yourself.”

At her final fitting with tailor Amanda, the emotion of the journey came full circle. “It feels like an extension of me,” Amber remembers saying. “That was all I had ever hoped for.”

The result was a silhouette that captured her vision of modern-day Grace Kelly elegance—effortless, refined, and deeply personal.

THE DAY

Set across Chelsea, the day unfolded with a sense of calm intimacy and understated elegance.

The morning began calmly, with a gentle build of anticipation as the day slowly took shape. Getting ready felt unhurried and emotional in the best way, each moment marking a natural transition into what was to come. The ceremony was deeply personal and full of presence, defined by closeness and connection. It felt unforced and heartfelt, with every moment carrying quiet weight. As the day flowed into celebration, the atmosphere became warmer and more relaxed. Amber transformed her look by removing the Dahlia skirt and tying the Cheryl dress differently, to allow for more movement. Laughter, conversation, and movement filled the space, with the dress carrying seamlessly from emotional stillness to joyful energy.
