Gorgeous Kate | A Halfpenny London bride

After postponing twice due to Covid, it was third time lucky for beautiful couple Kate and Andrew. They finally said “I do” in a fabulous new Years Eve celebration in London with a ceremony at St Mary Church in Battersea followed by a reception at The Bingham Riverhouse in Richmond.

“We wanted everyone to let their hair down and see in a new year with a big party,” Kate said. “As my family are Scottish, and Hogmanay being a big thing up north, we chose to have a piper on the day also. He piped us in to the room as Mr & Mrs Noble as well as piping us in to the new year at midnight.”

Some women have been dreaming about their wedding dress for years, and others have no idea what they’re looking for. It’s important to remember there is no right or wrong and everyone’s experience of this is different. Either way, the Halfpenny stylists are here to help!

“Unlike some women, I had no idea what I wanted. I dithered for months and months and went to around four boutiques. The Scotty was actually the first dress I tried on at a Halfpenny London stockist, and whilst I loved it, I was aware it was my first appointment. So even though I shopped around, I always knew I wanted to get to the Halfpenny Boutique

The Halfpenny London team were incredibly helpful during my appointment in the boutique. They encouraged me to try on a range of dresses and alternative pieces. I loved that you could mix and match. They were also AMAZING considering our original wedding date was May 2020. Their patience and check in’s were massively appreciated.

I loved the off the shoulder aspect of the Scotty dress, and thought the soft little polka dots brought something a little different. In the end, it was the perfect winter wedding dress, almost like tiny little drops of snow. I adored the fit of the bottom half but how the tulle draped over the silhouette made me feel a million dollars.

I knew this was my dress because I just felt comfortable, which was super important to me and key to feeling special on the day! I’d tried on other dresses that were corseted and I can’t imagine sitting down to eat let alone dance. The fit was perfect, my mum adored it, and it stood the test of time given I chose it 2.5 years before I actually ended up wearing it.”

Kate looked dreamy in the Scotty dress. It was a perfect choice for her and she paired it perfectly with a burnt orange and red bouquet and a pair of diamond earrings made up of her mum’s engagement ring. Stunning!

Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing you a long, happy marriage, loaded with love!

Love,
