Stunning Fiona | A Halfpenny London bride

Beautiful bride Fiona married her new husband, Aaron, in May in a beautiful ceremony which they arranged in only two weeks! This is their story…

“Aaron and I had our registry wedding in London booked for September, but as our families live in Australia (where nobody can currently leave the country!) we were unsure if it would go ahead. In May, we had to urgently return to Australia for a few weeks when a family member was ill, and it was during quarantine in Darwin that we decided to get married during the short time we were in the country. Somehow it came together perfectly, there was definitely a relaxed autumn in Queensland vibe.”

Fiona knew she needed a dress quickly and our edit on Net-A-Porter was the perfect solution.

“I had spent hours browsing dresses online during the lockdown. I had looked on Net-A-Porter and fell instantly in love with the Fern dress. In fact, I purchased the dress before we organised anything else! Luckily for me, the dress arrived a few days before the wedding and fit me perfectly.

My style of dress is usually pretty conservative. I love a high neckline and sleeves. As soon as I saw the dress on Net-A-Porter I sent it to several of my friends who all agreed it was perfect. The open back also adds a little sexiness which is nice! It’s so classic; simple yet elegant. I loved the open back, capped sleeves and the boat neckline. Absolutely gorgeous.”

I’m so pleased Fiona found her perfect gown and she looks incredible wearing it! She kept her accessories simple, wearing a gorgeous pair of Paspaley pearl earrings and a necklace which were wedding gifts from her mum. Her bouquet of dried flowers was crafted by a store in Montville, Queensland, the week before the wedding.

Huge congratulations to the happy couple! I’m thrilled to have played a small part in their special day and we wish them every happiness in the world in their new adventures together.

Love,
