Lovely Megan | A real Halfpenny London bride

Beautiful bride Megan and her new husband, Hal, managed to tie the knot just before the UK went into lockdown back in March. That was such a crazy time so I’m thrilled that Megan and Hal managed to enjoy their wonderful big day.

Megan is a Halfpenny bride through and through!  I love her gorgeous outfit and totally over the moon she decided to come in and see us.

"I saw the Houston trousers, when starting to look (without much intent yet) having got engaged and my sister came across them randomly online. I looked at them, gasped and knew that they were what I wanted to wear for my wedding. I got an appointment, tried them on and that was it. I didn't go to another shop.

I did try on a couple of Halfpenny dresses for fun but it was always those trousers. The Gladioli top I also fell in love with immediately and I couldn't believe I had found a unique outfit that was so 'me'. The team were so accommodating generally, but also in my slight edit of making it a higher-neckline. Every appointment was fun, calming and exciting all at the same time and the team, particularly atelier Mary, was so professional, flexible and talented.

I felt really strongly about having a sustainable outfit; one that I could wear again (and actually do so, not just say it). I got that - I can't wait to wear my gladioli top with jeans and sandals and my Houston trousers with darker tops to smart events over the years."
