Lovely couple Lucy and Sam Wade said “I do” last spring. Their wedding was modern, relaxed and romantic, with artistic personal touches such as their blooming meadow aisle flowers which were grown in their dear friends’ garden, and the whimsical centre pieces which were grown by Lucy’s mum – both a nod to the couple’s love for nature and creativity.
The day Lucy visited our boutique had originally been earmarked for another important day…
“I actually visited the London flagship boutique on the day I was meant to be getting married. Due to Covid, we had postponed our wedding date by a year and so my mum and I used the opportunity to explore the Halfpenny dressing up box. What really drew me to Halfpenny was the endless possibilities of separate pieces that could transform and really personalise any look, I couldn’t wait to try on different textures and layers.
The stylist was a dream from start to finish, she made the appointment feel so easy and fun – she listened for exactly what I was looking for, offered her advice and really tailored the experience so that it felt personal to us. I had never envisioned myself wearing a strapless dress but when I saw Oliver, I loved the chic, modern neckline on such a timelessly simple silhouette. When I tried on the Mayfair skirt over the top of the Oliver dress, it felt like my personality brought to life in fabric form. The ruffles embodied my free spirit, my wilder side, whilst Oliver brought practical elegance. I also chose a halfpenny veil which was the cherry on top!”
Lucy looked sensational and I hope her experience encourages other women to try something new when they come in as you never know where you’re going to discover that magic!
