"I knew instantly when I tried this combination that I felt like the best version of me in it." For Imogen, finding her dress wasn't a moment of uncertainty — it was one of immediate, quiet certainty. Discovered closer to home than she might have expected, through LV Bridal Studio in York, the Oliver corset and Ellie skirt felt like the perfect choice.
THE DRESS
Imogen chose the Oliver corset, Ellie skirt and Ariel bow to tie the knot. "It feels unique and the fabric is just unmatched and draped so elegantly. The ability to combine separates felt so timeless to me and now gives a beautiful contemporary twist." The Ariel bow proved a particularly happy discovery, its bow detail mirrored the delicate bows woven into her heirloom veil, a detail that felt, in her words, like fate. As a finishing touch, a message from her late father, embroidered onto the ribbon of her bridal bouquet, kept him close throughout the day.
THE DAY
Imogen's family has long spent time in Brittany, where hydrangeas grow in abundance. That landscape became the starting point for everything: French-inspired, classic, and quietly abundant. "We wanted everyone to feel included, welcome and comfortable — there simply had to be good food, good wine and plenty of it." Held at Matfen Hall in Northumberland, the day unfolded with warmth and generosity at its centre, the bridesmaids dressed in a range of blue tones that echoed the florals and felt personal to each of them.
