Some bridal looks begin long before the wedding day with a piece that lingers in memory. For Nancy, that piece was the iconic Rihanna skirt. Years after first discovering it, she stepped into the Halfpenny London boutique knowing it would be the very first style she tried. What followed was an unforgettable appointment where her vision came to life with a bespoke creation designed just for her.
THE DRESS
Nancy describes her Halfpenny experience as “almost unreal.” The Rihanna skirt was everything she had dreamed of… sculptural, voluminous, and unmistakably her. But it was the bespoke body Kate designed to complement it that made the look truly one-of-a-kind. “Watching Kate draw my bespoke body was a memory I’ll keep forever.”
One of the most meaningful parts of Nancy’s journey was ensuring her bridal look gave her the support and confidence she deserved. After having her daughter three years ago, she wanted structure at the bust while still embracing a backless silhouette. “Kate fully understood and embraced my request, and exceeded all my expectations.”
Paired with the 100” Pico veil, the result was a look that honoured Nancy’s style, celebrated her body, and made her feel extraordinary from morning to night.
“I felt comfortable, confident and beautiful… How I felt about myself on our wedding day is unmatchable, and that’s due to Halfpenny London.”
THE DAY
Nancy and Calum set out to bring a touch of Italy to Suffolk. While the English weather had other plans, the Italian Gardens were seamlessly swapped for Aperol Spritz, and as they say, a wet knot is harder to untie. Their “Dress to Impress” dress code set the tone for a celebration defined by timeless elegance and class, sprinkled with playful touches.
With their daughter named Olive, it felt only right to weave the theme throughout the day, from the colour palette to name cards and the seating plan. Disco balls, fairy lights and soft uplighting transformed the room as evening fell, while minimalist tables lined with candles and single stems brought their refined vision to life. The result was as beautiful as they’d imagined.
