A corseted, silk Halfpenny London dress for a beautiful bride, paired perfectly with the groom’s Ralph Lauren tux for a chic, minimal wedding in Salford last June.

Beautiful bride Liz Sheard and new husband Phill Reeves chose to create their perfect wedding backdrop within the blank canvas of Five Four Studios in Salford. Wanting to keep the space clean and fresh, the couple kept the decor simple, choosing a meadow style floral installation by Smokebush Floral using blooms which were locally grown in Cheshire.

Liz felt nervous to start shopping for her wedding dress, anxious she would struggle to find the perfect gown which suited her perfectly. She needn’t have worried!

“I instantly fell in love with Halfpenny dresses,” Liz said. “The Charlotte was the first dress I saved on my moodboard and I fell in love with it. It oozes romantic, classic bride and gives a real timeless elegance. Absolute perfection! Whenever I pictured our wedding day and walking down the aisle, in my head I was always wearing the Charlotte dress.”

The Charlotte dress is a dream! It’s actually very similar to the corset I wore on my own wedding day, with the exact same base which really makes you feel incredible. It was the perfect choice for Liz!

Liz’s bouquet was an organic mix of flowers and foliage and she added a beautiful, personal touch with a borrowed locket with a picture of her late grandmother inside.

“For the rest of my outfit I kept the accessories very simple and minimal to let the dress sing. The shoes had to be Manolos because a) they are beautiful and b) I love Sex in the City! I went for a classic ivory slingback as I thought this paired wonderfully with the dress. My bag was the classic Shrimps Antonia bag. I’ve always loved this bag and being a bride was my excuse to buy it!”

Liz looked incredible and I’m thrilled she chose to wear Halfpenny London on her special day. Huge congratulations to the happy couple and here’s to countless years of happiness!
