“I stepped into the Halfpenny London store and immediately knew it was going to be a special visit.” Elspeth recalls exploring her creativity freely, playing with ideas and silhouettes—each small change giving every look a completely different personality.

It felt less like trying on dresses and more like creating something together — a series of evolving looks that reflected both [Halfpenny’s] artistry and my imagination.

THE DRESS

Rather than choosing a single gown, Elspeth built her look piece by piece, styling the Spencer corset over the Ada lace body and Libra skirt. The process itself became part of the magic. “It felt less like trying on dresses and more like creating something together,” she explains. The sheer Libra skirt brought an unexpected edge, its delicacy offset by a bold, modern decision. “I wanted to go for a slightly non-traditional look whilst keeping it simple but with a ‘wow’ factor.” The look was completed with the Kerry veil, which Elspeth tucked into the back of her corset for the reception.

THE DAY

Set at Hamswell House, the wedding embraced the richness of the autumn season while maintaining a refined, contemporary aesthetic. Elspeth envisioned a palette inspired by October tones, layered thoughtfully throughout—from florals to tablescapes. The result was a celebration that felt both grounded in its historic setting and refreshingly modern, where every element was considered, connected, and quietly impactful.
