A Portuguese celebration built on one simple brief: have the best time.

“The team in store were amazing from start to finish.” From her very first appointment, nearly two years before her wedding date, Gabby approached her bridal look with curiosity. “I was lucky enough that Kate was in store that day, so helped me navigate my first session, and was nothing but patient in helping me try a huge range of styles. I knew I wanted something interesting, and she really went above and beyond with a range of dresses and separates to help me suss out what I liked!”

THE DRESS

For her Portuguese wedding, Gabby chose the Phoenix corset, Ingrid skirt and neck scarf. The Phoenix corset won her over immediately. "I love the straight top and visible boning, and the dropped V at the front which sat so nicely over the skirt. Cinched me in like a dream." The Ingrid skirt offered something altogether different in hand and feel. "I love the texture and that she is a little bit see-through — totally unique whilst retaining a flattering shape." The contrast between the two fabrics became one of her favourite elements of the whole look, finished with a neck scarf that felt like the perfect counterpoint to the clean, strapless line of the corset.

THE DAY

The brief for the wedding was simple: have a whole lot of fun. "We didn't want to take it all too seriously and wanted our celebrations — and my dress — to reflect that." Held at Vinha Boutique Hotel in Portugal, the day delivered entirely on that promise. The right vendors, the right guests, and the right attitude. "It really felt like the whole thing delivered on that. We had the best time."
