Beautiful Hannah | A Halfpenny london bride

Beautiful bride Hannah Dickson married her new husband Sean this may in a rustic barn with wildflower decorations and added personal touches like lovely handmade favours and live music.

“I had my sister as my bridesmaid in a gorgeous emerald green dress,” Hannah said. “My husband arrived in his vintage convertible, while my dad drove me in his beloved Morris Minor.

Halfpenny London was the first and only place I went wedding dress shopping. My friend introduced me to Halfpenny London when I got engaged, we spent hours looking through the website and Instagram page. I knew it was the designer for me and booked an appointment soon after. I traveled to London from West Wales with my sister and two best friends. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. Summer made me feel at ease and so special on this milestone occasion. The boutique was beautiful, the perfect setting.

I love that Halfpenny London is a British brand and offers brides creative freedom through the use of separates. It also felt inclusive, making all feel beautiful and worthy. The Thea dress was the third dress I tried on, and I instantly felt it was the one. The luxurious feeling of the Thea dress just made me feel amazing, it was elegant and classic. I had always loved the idea of having separates. I was drawn to the Maple Caplet. It had a modern twist on vintage with intricate hand embroidered details that set it apart. It really captured my love for nature and the outdoors through its maple leaf design. Both pieces together captured my personality and vision. The reaction of my sister and best friends when I put the caplet on the Thea dress confirmed it. I also liked that it could be worn again after the wedding, making it an investment piece.”

Hannah looked sensational and the Maple is such a delicious piece, truly perfect for this beautiful wedding. The look was finished off with a hand-tied, wildflower bouquet made by a friend, and Hannah’s godmother made a potli style bag from the off cuts of her wedding dress. Such a lovely touch!

Everyone at Halfpenny London wishes the newlyweds a huge congratulations and here’s to endless years of bliss together.

Love,

Kate & the Halfpennys xxx
