Beautiful Fotini | a Halfpenny london bride
Gorgeous couple Fotini and Adam Slaughter celebrated their wedding last September. The couple wanted the style of their big day to reflect all that is beautiful about the Cycladic islands and add their own modern touches.
Fotini hadn’t yet found ‘the one’ and decided to visit our London flagship boutique back in 2020.
“It was a lovely experience at Halfpenny,” she said, “the best bit is being able to try different styles together. I knew I wanted an overskirt and Halfpenny was definitely the place for that. I loved the location and the feel of Woburn Walk, it’s like you’re in a movie!”
We worked with Fotini to create a customised look for her, adapting our Dion dress by adding delicious frills and extending the train. She paired the dress with our Sycamore skirt and a custom veil which matched the skirt's beautiful beading.
“I was drawn to the overskirt as soon as I walked in. All I could imagine was the subtle sparkle in the Greek sun. From there we tried to find the dress to match and as soon as I tried on the Dion I knew that was it. The neckline really suited me and the fabric sucked me in in all the right places. I walked out and Mum said ‘Oh Wow’… Then we all cried.”
Fotini completed her look with Jimmy Choo shoes, statement earrings, and her grandmother's solitaire ring. She looked so happy and I love that she decided to wear Halfpenny London on her special day.
