“I pretty much knew I always wanted a Halfpenny dress from day one. I loved the idea of wearing something designed and made in the UK, and something I could style with different accessories to create alternate looks throughout the day.”
Beautiful bride Daniella Laxton married her new husband Charles Laxton in July of 2023. The couple held their celebrations in the private garden of Charles’ aunt and uncle’s home in Richmond. The beautiful scenery was complimented with classic florals and some added special touches, like a disco ball at the end of the aisle!
“The theme was very much a garden party,” Daniella said, “lots of florals and bringing the outside in.”
For Daniella, it was important to support a British made designer and having looked at Halfpenny London dresses beforehand, she knew where to start her journey.
“I pretty much knew I always wanted a Halfpenny dress from day one. I loved the idea of wearing something designed and made in the UK, and something I could style with different accessories to create alternate looks throughout the day.”
“For the ceremony wow-factor, I layered the Rihanna Skirt over the top and added puff sleeves to add a little more glamour. It was a dream day-to-night look.”
We welcomed Daniella into our Bloomsbury boutique and she fell in love with the idea of creating a layered look for her big day.
“[My experience at Halfpenny London] was amazing! Always so fun and relaxing. Any amendments were made quickly and I ended up with my dream dress. I chose the Dayton Dress as I knew it would be perfect for the evening; so chic and flattering, but also comfortable! For the ceremony wow-factor, I layered the Rihanna Skirt over the top and added puff sleeves to add a little more glamour. It was a dream day-to-night look.”
Daniella created the dress of her dreams and she knew it was the one when her mum got emotional. Choosing the perfect wedding dress is such a different experience for everyone but one thing is universal: when you know, you know!
On the morning of the wedding, Charles gifted Daniella a beautiful jewellery set to match her engagement ring, the perfect accessories to add to her look. Her bouquet was created by local Richmond florist Bramble & Moss and complimented the garden setting perfectly.
Daniella looked incredible and I’m thrilled she chose to wear Halfpenny London on her special day. Huge congratulations to the happy couple and here’s to countless years of happiness!
