Stunning Alice | A Halfpenny London bride
Gorgeous couple Alice and Alex already planned to elope when we announced our #WeddingWinspiration competition in collaboration with Sophia Webster. Participants were encouraged to get their creative juices flowing and create their dream wedding moodboard with their favourite Halfpenny London wedding dress and Sophia Webster shoes. Alice was our lucky winner and I’m thrilled to share her stunning Lake Como celebration with you today.
“As soon as I saw the #WeddingWinspiration competition in 2021, I knew I had to throw everything at it. I had already planned and booked both our elopement and the party back at home by then so designing a mood board was easy! On winning the competition I was so excited to visit the Bloomsbury boutique. I went on my own and was like a child in a sweet shop. Initially I tried on Riri and Cheryl, designs I had drooled over on Instagram, but I left knowing that the Oliver would have to form part of my final selection. On my second visit with my bridesmaids I discovered the Mayfair dress. It’s so dreamy and light, but I wanted the ability to change looks throughout the day and over our different events. In the end, my stylist helped me devise my dream combination of Oliver dress with Mayfair skirt and Issa shrug for the ceremony, and Mikado bow for the glamorous evening dinner. Some people say they instantly know ‘the one’ but I think I quite literally could have left with everything in the shop!
I knew I had made the right choice because I didn’t want to take off the Oliver dress and I loved all the different looks equally. When I look back at the mood boards I created for the competition, my final choice completely fitted with that brief. It’s an unbelievably flattering base dress, so comfortable, and made me feel incredible. I’m so glad I found Halfpenny London and thank ALL the staff for their care and attention.”
It’s so wonderful knowing that Alice had a great experience with us and also that she found the dress of her dreams. She looked utterly incredible and I adore these stunning images showing so much love!
