Stunning Kirsten | A Halfpenny London bride
Gorgeous couple Kirsten and Rory celebrated their wedding in May this year with a romantic London ceremony, full of vintage inspiration.
When it came to finding her wedding dress, Kirsten knew exactly where to look after finding Halfpenny London on Instagram.
“Halfpenny was my first and only visit to a boutique,” she said. “I felt really well looked after and there was no doubt in my mind that I was going to find my dress that day which made the whole experience really relaxing and enjoyable.I had a list of my favourite looks when I went in and got through most of them however the skirt I ended up buying - the Silver Skirt - wasn’t on that original list. I was drawn to it like a Magpie when I saw it in person and knew I had to try it on. When I wore it over the Victor frill dress, I knew I’d found something special.
I found the skirt to be truly magnificent and the craftwork involved was incredible. It was so different to other dresses I’d seen and gave my look a real vintage feel which I was after. I also loved that I could take the skirt off later in the evening to create a new look.
When I’d tried on the other dresses at my appointment I knew I liked all of them - they’re beautiful and stunning looks. It was only when I tried on the outfit I chose when something clicked. It was like seeing myself really clearly in the mirror as the bride I wanted to be. I looked and felt like myself but there was something special about me now- I looked like my own version of a bride. I’d never seen another wedding dress like it and I loved that.”
I’m thrilled Kirsten found her dream dress with us. She looked utterly incredible! The final look was completed with pearl drop earrings, Kirsten’s late Nan’s gold chain around her wrist and a dainty gold chain with her daughter’s name on it around her neck, an item she wears every day. i adore these details and how wonderful to honour her loved ones on her big day.
