Gorgeous Katie | A Halfpenny London bride

Beautiful bride Katie and her new husband Paul said ‘I do’ in August this year in a romantic barn wedding. The couple mixed rustic features with elegant floral accents to create a lovely, warm atmosphere for their guests and set the scene for an incredible day.

Katie’s search for her wedding gown brought her to Halfpenny London…

“Everything from the window displays outside [the boutique] to the inside décor and the fabric of the dresses themselves was just another level. It felt like such a special, luxury experience trying on these gorgeous gowns with a fabric that somehow flattered all my lumps and bumps, and made me feel so comfortable immediately. The girls helping me choose dresses were so friendly and helpful with styling recommendations, and I truly felt like they were there to help me find my dream dress rather than trying to just make a sale.

I knew from the beginning I wanted the Cheryl, in part because the silhouette was timeless and elegant, but also because the high neck covers my chest and neck. I tend to show my nerves/anxiety on my chest and neck by going quite red, so being able to have a wedding dress that would take away that concern, whilst still feeling like I got to wear a beautiful gown, was just perfect. As soon as the bow was tied, I felt like the best version of myself. It was stunning, a no brainer.”

I say this all the time but I absolutely love my job. Getting messages like this and seeing these images of Katie looking so radiant and happy is the reason I do this. I’m so thrilled Katie is a Halfpenny London bride. She looked sensational and the addition of the epic Margaret veil was the icing on the cake.
