Beautiful Alicia | A Halfpenny London bride
Beautiful bride Alicia and her new husband tied the knot in July this year. The wedding took place on Alicia’s family’s farm in Wiltshire and guests enjoyed a relaxed, festival themed celebration with tipis, bell tents and a beautiful rustic ceremony outdoors.
Alicia had tried on a number of gowns before visiting us but hadn’t yet found that one special dress she felt incredible in.
“It was interesting that dresses that I thought I would love just did not look right on me and I didn’t feel myself in them, until I went to Halfpenny. My appointment at Halfpenny was amazing, the Halfpenny ladies were so patient and helpful and made the experience really special in my first and second appointments.
I chose the Kelly dress as I loved the off the shoulder top and how fitted the body was, this was something I was looking for in my wedding dress and I thought I would only want a very fitted dress and didn’t expect to add a skirt, but when I saw the Beale skirt with it’s beautiful lace detail. I absolutely loved it! It fit so well with the festival vibe of the wedding with the floral detail and I loved that it created a second look that I could take off if I wanted - although I didn’t take it off as I loved the overskirt so much! I also loved that the skirt was sheer so you could still see the fitted look of the Kelly dress underneath and the train was so beautiful.
When I tried on the dress and skirt for the first time I knew that it was ‘the one’. Me and my mum cried and I just felt so special and so ‘me’ in the dress, I knew every other dress wouldn’t compare! I just felt absolutely incredible and confident in it. My mum said it was just so me and she could see how happy and relaxed I looked in it. I just knew it was my dream dress and I didn’t want to take it off!”
Alicia looked incredible on her big day! This outfit was the perfect choice for her and we’re thrilled her search ended in success with us. Her flowers were created by Maria at Luna in the wild and she kept her accessories simple with pair of pearl pendant mini hoop earrings and a vintage pearl embellished satin headband.
