Gorgeous Jess | A real Halfpenny London bride

Beautiful bride Jess and her lovely new husband tied the knot last December in a winter wonderland inspired ceremony in the heart of London. Jess fell in love with our Fly Me to the Moon collection, particularly the Scotty dress with it’s gorgeous snow-like flocked spots.

“The pieces [in Fly Me to the Moon] are incredible and I thought there would be something for me in there to fit our winter wedding.  I was particularly drawn to the Scotty Dress with its ‘snowy’ overlay but was also conscious that I might need sleeves for potentially cold climes plus a fairly traditional church service.  The Scotty sadly did not fit my body shape which initially was disappointing.  Charlotte was then suggested and after trying her on, there was no going back.  That said, I was hesitant to run with her given there was not a huge amount of coverage on the top but thanks to Kate, via Instagram, I was given an early view of The Painter collection.  The Manet shrug then came to the rescue and my problems were solved. Things were then made even better when I discovered I could implement Scotty via the Flock Spot veil (like snow had fallen!)  which I had made to 100” to suit the church we married in.”

Jess looked sensational on her big day. The fit of the Charlotte dress suited her body shape perfectly and the Manet shrug is the perfect coverup.  Sticking with simplicity, Jess carried a big bunch of gypsophila with a trailing navy velvet bow - her something blue - which tied into the gorgeous blue jumpsuits her bridesmaids wore.

Huge congratulations to the newlyweds! Myself and the team wish you a long and blissfully happy marriage!

Love,
