Gorgeous Lynn | A Halfpenny London Bride

Beautiful bride Lynn and her new husband Josh were married in the Lake District in a classic English countryside celebration with a twist.

Lynn was finding dress shopping quite overwhelming: “I would see lots of dresses I loved the idea and look of,” she said, “but once I tried them on I never felt very ‘me’ and the stress of decision making soon started to get to me. I tried a couple of different boutiques, but I had long swooned over The White Closet’s window displays after walking by the shop for years and I knew I’d find whatever it was I was looking for there. Luckily, my expectation lived up to the experience and Millie and her team went above and beyond and truly made you feel special. After a couple of visits, I finally found ‘the one’.”

Gorgeous Millie and her team at The White Closet in Manchester have been a Halfpenny London stockist for a long time. They are wonderful so It’s no surprise Lynn had an incredible time there.

“I have always loved the Cheryl dress  - I think I had it saved and pinned long before I even got engaged! But for some reason, when it came to dress shopping, I was drawn towards full sleeve wedding dresses and tried many different shapes and styles. I thought I wanted something completely different. I eventually whittled it down to two dresses, but before I left The White Closet I asked to try on the Cheryl dress while I was there as I’d always loved it – as soon as I tried it on it knocked all other dresses out of the running. It wasn’t what I had pictured, but it was the dress I instantly felt the most ‘me’ in - I just wish I’d not overthought it and tried it on straight away.

I tried on around 8 or 10 other dresses and there were many that I liked, but there was always something missing that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. When I tried the Cheryl dress that feeling completely disappeared and in hindsight it’s easy to see why; it felt timeless yet modern and the Italian silk made it feel so luxurious and elegant.”

Lynn completed her look with ivory Jimmy Choo’s and a veil from Belfast designer Blue Meadow Bridal, a touch of home for her being from Northern Ireland herself. She looked incredible and I’m thrilled to share this gallery with you today.

Congratulations to Lynn and Josh! Here’s to countless years of love and laughter together.

Love,
