Beautiful bride Lucy married her new husband Charlie at a chic city wedding in August of 2023. They both knew they wanted a laid-back ceremony with a colourful party in the evening. The wedding was filled with personal touches, including a family friend making the beautiful bouquet using an organic mix of locally grown flowers and foliage.

When it came to searching for her wedding dress, Lucy felt nervous as it was important for her to find a style that fit perfectly. She had no need to worry! With a few months before the wedding, Lucy began her dress journey leading her to find a local Halfpenny London stockist.

The Thea Dress was perfect - it complimented my body shape and the fabric draped in a way that made me feel like an old Hollywood star. I loved the backless element and it was beautiful without being too much! As soon as I put it on I felt instantly amazing – I had tried on so many dresses that just didn’t feel right. As soon as the curtains opened everyone was in tears and I knew that my family felt the same way as I did about the dress!”

Lucy wanted to keep the focus on her beautiful dress and decided on minimal accessories. “I had a veil but really I wanted the dress to be the real star of the day!” For the bridesmaid’s dress, Lucy complimented the neckline of Thea and chose the Sage Astrid dress from our Sister collection.
