Halfpenny London separates for a traditional wedding with a modern twist at Kin house.

Gorgeous couple Jessica and Joe said “I do” last October in a traditional wedding with a modern twist. The beautiful countryside setting of Kin house made for the perfect venue.

When it came to searching for her wedding dress, Jessica had some reservations before finding the ‘one’.

“I actually wasn’t particularly excited about wedding dress shopping – I found the whole process to have a bit too much pressure and a little stressful. I tried on a few things that I liked but nothing that I loved,” Jessica said.

Searching for the perfect dress is a unique and personalised experience and can feel slightly daunting. Many brides feel the same way as Jessica and our wonderful stylists recognise the importance of feeling comfortable in this new environment and do everything they can to make brides feel at home. Jessica needn't have worried as she soon realised she was in for an exciting experience at our Bloomsbury boutique.

After a few less than successful appointments, the entire process was finally enjoyable and took all of the pressure off. While I had a feeling the Okotan skirt and corset would be the one(s), they helped me try on a few very different styles just to make help me make sure I was really sure with whatever I ended up in.

I chose the Okotan skirt and corset – I had a photo of these saved on my phone for months (maybe even a year) before trying anything on, it was the only wedding dress I ever saw that really felt like me. It was the perfect combination of simple while still feeling elegant and modern. I also love that it was a separate top and skirt, just felt a bit more fun.

The second that I put it on I knew it was exactly what I wanted to wear. It just felt perfect and I could actually see myself getting married in it. I couldn’t stop smiling from the moment I put it on and didn’t want to take it off. It was comfortable and still a little bit sexy, it just felt like the most flattering thing I had ever put on.”
