Stunning Chloë | A Halfpenny London bride (part 2!)

We were lucky enough to share Part 1 of beautiful bride Chloë and Ollie’s wedding celebrations and I’m thrilled now to present the “After Party”! Following a small ceremony in August 2020, the couple decided to have a big black-tie garden party a year later to celebrate with wider family and friends.

Chloë wanted to change up her outfit and decided to re-wear her slip dress for the second celebration.

“When Ollie and I got married, I wore the Marilyn dress over the Iris slip with a broad sash and a long, tulle veil. When we decided to make the party black tie, I wanted something a little more evening-y and went for the Boston top with flowers over the Iris slip. It was lovely to be able to revisit the shop, and I had fun trying on different tops and skirts. I loved the puff sleeves of the Boston top, and the silk organza flowers, which I think I’m right in saying Kate’s mother made – that was very special.”

My mum did indeed make the flowers and it’s always extra special to see a bride wear them, especially so now.

Chloë wore a pair of satin sandals from Penelope Chilvers, a floral hair slide by Flower and Press (who also decorated the sailcloth tent so beautifully), simple gold hoop earrings and a chunky gold chain bracelet to complete her look.

Huge congratulations (again!) to the happy couple! I love how Chloë re-wore her slip and I hope she wears it many, many more times in the future and is reminded of her wonderful wedding celebrations.

Love,
