“From the moment I stepped into Halfpenny, I was made to feel at ease.”
Newlyweds Amy and Bex tied the knot last summer in a fun-filled countryside wedding. With the help of Natasha Spencer the couple planned a colourful wedding festival in the beautiful setting of the South Downs. Amy and Bex wanted their friends and family to have as much fun as possible, enjoying live music and street food throughout the day.
Amy was nervous to start the search for her wedding dress, anxious she would struggle to find the perfect gown which suited her style. She needn’t have worried! After stepping into our Bloomsbury boutique, her nerves soon transformed into excitement.
“I was bricking it!” Amy said. “Totally out of my comfort zone. However, from the moment I stepped into Halfpenny, I was made to feel at ease – this was all down to Lola, who has the patience of a Saint, and allowed me to try on so many different dresses, co-ords, I even had a jumpsuit on at one point. Of course, I ended up going for the Mayfair, the first dress I tried on. I left feeling on top of the world, knowing I had found my dream dress! My mum and aunt sobbed, and I felt fabulous.”

Amy accessorised her look with a bold flower headband and changed into a pair of Clarks Originals Wallabees later on in the day. Amy and Bex were really able to inject their personalities into their wedding day and I love these fabulous images by Peach Portman.
The Mayfair dress was the perfect choice for Amy and we are so happy she chose to wear Halfpenny London on her big day. Huge congratulations to the happy couple and here’s to countless years of wedded bliss.
