Beautiful Becky | A Halfpenny London Bride

Beautiful bride Becky Robbins married her new husband Nic this spring with a classic church service followed by a marquee reception at Nic’s family home. The couple wanted to celebrate the joys of spring and placed a big emphasis on colourful, seasonal florals.

Before visiting our Bloomsbury boutique, Becky had tried on many wedding dresses but was finding it difficult to settle on a style.

“All I knew back then was that I hadn’t found The One,” she said. “It wasn’t until my florist recommended Halfpenny that I booked my appointment. Looking online at the styles I loved the romantic gowns and the way you could mix them up with accessories to make something unique for you.

[During my appointment] my mum and I immediately spotted the Breeze dress, which was the first one I tried. We all fell in love with the ruffle hem, the weight and shine of the Mikado fabric and the elegance and simplicity of the corset. I knew I wanted a statement and also to change up my look throughout the day, so we had so much fun trying on all the different accessories to come up with a unique combination!

The moment we paired the Breeze dress with the Issa Shrug I knew that was a look I had to wear! Not only because my mum was in tears (first across all the dresses) but I could really picture myself in that gown, walking down the aisle to my then financé!”

Becky returned to the boutique a few months later to decide on her second outfit.

“I decided that the Issa Shrug would be better suited as my evening change (I loved the way it moved and thought it would be fantastic for the first dance)! Plus for an April wedding I thought it would be a good idea to have something more covered during the church service and day time. So, we returned to the boutique to try on tops! I had spotted the Wren top online and thought it could bring a bit of the wow factor, whilst also giving me a covered look for the church. I loved the high ruffle neck and the silk covered button detailing at the back. It was the perfect combination to match the statement ruffle hem of my dress.”

Wanting to keep accessories simple, Becky chose a cathedral length veil, Star Baroque pearl drop earrings and a beautiful pair of Loeffler Randall shoes. She looked utterly stunning and I love her choice of Halfpenny London pieces.

Congratulations Becky and Nic! Here’s to countless years of happiness for these two lovebirds.

Love,

Kate & the Halfpennys xxx
