Stunning Claire | A Halfpenny London bride

Beautiful couple Claire and Joseph Robinson tied the knot in a traditional church ceremony followed by a reception at Luttrellstown Castle, Ireland in May this year.

When the time came to search for her dream dress, Claire made an appointment at our London flagship boutique.

“I had been to quite a few boutiques before the Halfpenny Woburn Walk boutique. As I am curvier, I had really struggled as many of the dresses I had tried on were sample sizes and they simply just did not look or feel right. From the moment I arrived I was made to feel so comfortable. I was in awe at the rails jam packed with stunning dresses and separates. The stylist pulled out all the stops and I was able to try dresses that were my size and I cannot tell you what a difference that made!

I had initially thought I was looking for a classic simple satin number, but then my mother asked me to try on the Acorn skirt. Usually my mother would usually like less extravagant pieces but it was the only piece she had asked me to try on, so of course I did just that! It was completely the opposite of what I thought I would want but, when I wore it, I felt a million dollars! After the last few years of the pandemic is felt so good to finally be dressing up in such a strikingly beautiful piece! “

Claire paired the Acorn with an A line Satin skirt underneath and the Daffodil top.

“It was 100% perfection! The second I tried this combination I just knew it was the one for me. It complimented by body and made me feel confident. How did I know it was The One? It is hard to explain, but it’s just a feeling you get and you just know.”

Doesn’t she look amazing? This combo could not be more perfect for her and I’m so thrilled she came to see us during her dress search. The final look was accessorised with Jimmy Choo shoes, Tilly Thomas Lux crowns and a stunning bouquet in shades of white and green.
