Beautiful bride Aislinn wears the Daffodil dress by Halfpenny London

Beautiful bride Aislinn and her hubby Paul said “I do” in a sophisticated wedding near Rome in August last year.

“We wanted a wedding that was sophisticated and stylish yet rustic and simple with great food, flowing wine and being surrounded by our nearest and dearest. The Borgo di Tragliata outside Rome ticked every box for us!”

Aislinn chose our Daffodil Dress in satin with the Lily overskirt which she purchased from one of our mega stockists, The White Gallery in Ireland.

“When I began researching wedding dresses I found myself repeatedly being drawn back to Halfpenny London’s website. I had been to a couple of bridal shops and whilst the dresses were lovely I really didn’t feel they were for me. I was looking for something a little different. Then, I found out that Halfpenny London was stocked in The White Gallery in Newry, Northern Ireland and I immediately made an appointment! The girls at the White Gallery, Rachel and Emma-Jayne were amazing!

I chose the Daffodil dress and the Lily skirt as an overskirt. When I tried on the Daffodil dress I knew that it was what I was looking for! I immediately felt comfortable in it. It was the perfect mix for me of feeling bridal and still feeling stylish. I felt I wanted something a little ‘more’ added to it for our ceremony and that is how we paired it with the Lily skirt. The detail in the Lily embroidered skirt is absolutely incredible and I loved how it gave the dress a little bit more movement! I whipped the lily overskirt off after our meal and danced the night away in the daffodil dress!

I felt so comfortable in the daffodil dress as soon as I put it on! I hadn’t felt like that with anything I had tried on previously. The daffodil dress and Lily skirt fulfilled all my criteria for my perfect wedding dress! Something not traditionally bridal, yet elegant and timeless.”

Aislinn kept everything her flowers and accessories very simple, with ivory blooms and a pearl bracelet from an Irish store called Seoidin and a bargain pair of earrings she found after many failed online orders!
