Lovely Laura | A real Halfpenny London bride
Beautiful bride Laura and her new husband Damien tied the knot at home in Northern Ireland, at the Larchfield Estate. The couple spoke to Rock My Wedding about their big day:
“The entire day was just us! We stayed true to our style for everything there’s nothing we’d change. It was important I looked like myself on our wedding day and created an environment that was relaxed and enjoyable. Father Murphy was so very sweet at the back of the church and instantly recognised me starting to panic even when no one else did. He offered some reassuring words to me at the back of the church and again at the altar. We’ve never been to another religious service which was so relaxed and where the congregation has laughed so much. He was so welcoming to everyone.”
Laura chose our Juniper dress and Lily skirt, which she purchased from our wonderful stockist, The White Gallery.
“I had already booked a long weekend home to go on a girly trip with my sister, mum and aunts and used that time to go dress shopping and found my dress in The White Gallery which was the second place I went to. My normal style is usually either very simple and timeless or bohemian, there’s no real in-between with me. I wore a Halfpenny, Juniper dress with the Lilly skirt. The main thing I wanted on the day was to look and feel like myself when I put on the Juniper dress and Lily skirt I just felt so relaxed, I could just envisage myself wearing it on the day.”
