Beautiful Harriet | A real Halfpenny London bride

Beautiful bride Harriet married her lovely hubby Drew in December last year. As the couple were getting married on Dartmoor National Park in the depths of winter, they decided to embrace the elements with a dark green colour scheme, a dress that would sway in the wind and lots of gorgeous winter flowers.

Harriet wore separates over an Iris slip to create her own unique look and we had so much fun during the appointment putting it together!

“I was very lucky and found my dream dress at Halfpenny London very quickly – it was the second (and last) dress shop I visited.  I had a particular style I was looking for which naturally narrowed down the designers I visited. Kate was amazing! Throughout the fitting it became apparent that there were certain elements of different dresses I loved. Kate threw the various items together and suggested a sash. As soon as I stepped out in the dress, I knew it was the one! I knew because of the way I felt in it – I felt like a princess and the prettiest I had ever looked. Also the look on my sister’s face gave away that it was the one!”

By combining the Iris Jacket and slip with a tulle skirt and Duchess satin sash, Harriet was able to experiment with combinations throughout the day.  The Iris Jacket has such exquisite detail and allowed Harriet to show off her back whilst still giving the appropriate amount of coverage for a church wedding and I love how she wore the Iris slip and sash for dancing in the evening!

Thank you to Harriet and Drew for sharing these stunning pictures with us. It’s always an incredible moment seeing how a couple’s vision comes together on their big day. Huge congratulations to the happy couple and we wish you all the love in the world!

Love,
