Beautiful Carly | A real Halfpenny London bride
Beautiful bride Carly and her lovely new husband tied the knot in August 2018. The couple wanted a destination wedding feel but here in the UK so they hired Silverholme Manor in the Lake District for a weekend for a fabulous house party. With a botanicals and metallics theme, the couple had wonderful pink and peach florals and I love the copper aisle backdrop! Carly’s auntie had recently qualified as a registrar and, not only did she perform the ceremony, she was also responsible for those beautiful florals.
Carly chose our iconic Cheryl dress to wear on her big day.
“Halfpenny London was the first shop we visited on the two days that I had dedicated to finding the dress. Cheryl was the second dress that I tried on and the reason that I came to Halfpenny. I had seen the dress on Millie Mackintosh a few years ago and when I became engaged I made the appointment at Halfpenny hoping to try her on. The minute I tried her on I knew she was the one. She was light and fuss free. I wanted something fashion forward but also something that I would still love in 30 years time. I could totally see myself dancing around my venue in her and I liked the fact that I could change the way she looked for the evening [by changing the way she was tied]. Over the next two days of dress shopping we just kept asking the same question ‘Does she beat Cheryl?’ I knew I would never regret her. She is totally timeless and feels amazing.”
As fate would have it, Carly found out four months before the wedding that she was pregnant so Cheryl became the perfect dress to reveal her super cute, little bump! Although Carly was thrilled about her wonderful news, she was concerned about what that would mean for her wedding dress. Luckily, we were there to reassure her.
“The Halfpenny girls were amazing when I turned up at my fitting and nervously told them my news. They were so reassuring and it was a true moment of celebration.”
Carly completed her wedding look with an epic pair of bespoke angel wing earrings with Sally from Tilly Thomas Lux using some money her Nanna had gifted her and a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes. She looks utterly incredible and I’m so pleased she chose to wear Halfpenny London on her big day.
