Stunning Flo | A real Halfpenny London bride
Beautiful bride Flo married her new husband, Tom in January this year. The couple love colour so they knew from the beginning they were never going to have a minimalist wedding. They chose to tie the knot at the Asylum Chapel followed by a reception at Brunswick House. Both venues have oodles of character so the couple let them do most of the talking when it came to decor.
Flo came to us with a very short timescale and I’m so pleaded we were able to make her chosen dress in time.
“Halfpenny was my one and only dress shopping experience. We got engaged in October 2018 and were married just under 3 months later in January 2019. I didn’t think I would find the dress of my dreams in that time frame but my uber-proactive and endlessly optimistic boss Hannah booked me in straight away at Halfpenny and I was lucky enough to get an appointment with the lovely Kate who rushed everything through for me. The boutique was cosy, calm and sparkling! My cousin and I fell instantly in love with it. I’d move in! It was peaceful and all of the team were really friendly and put you at ease.
I chose the Charlotte dress because it’s timeless. I would have loved it twenty years ago and I think I’ll love it in twenty years time. It nips you in at the waist and gives you a lovely silhouette. And most importantly of all, I knew I could eat, drink and be merry without feeling like I had to stand up tall and breathe in – the corset did all that for me.
I only tried on 5 wedding dresses in total and ALL of the Halfpenny options were stunning but this one made me feel like extra fabulous. The full silk skirt was so luxurious and regal and I knew I wouldn’t have another opportunity in life to wear a real princess dress – so I took it!”
Flo looked utterly flawless and I was so thrilled to play a part in her big day. She accessorised her look with a star tiara and those beautiful florals by her sister in law.
