Celebrating the Courage collection with the Halfpennys

I can’t remember who coined the phrase “the Halfpennys”. It was in jest at the time but quickly became part of our lexicon as the brand grew. Now we have a team of 35 Halfpennys, each and every one of them a treasured and integral part of the business.

It was a strange (and wonderful!) experience seeing Halfpenny London grow from just me on my own making a dress a month at home, to opening the boutique when I outgrew my home, to now having multiple premises on Woburn Walk, our delightful little corner of London.

I had to be brave enough to take those first steps but the rest wouldn’t have happened if I didn’t put my trust in my team, many of whom joined me not long after opening the boutique almost a decade ago and are still on this journey with me.

I gathered most of them together last week, on the face of it to celebrate the Courage collection landing in the boutique for our brides-to-be to try on and enjoy styling, but really I just wanted to celebrate them. Team work makes the dream work and I love working with my Dream Team.
