Halfpenny London

Beautiful Jess | A real Halfpenny London bride

Kate HalfpennyComment

Beautiful bride Jess married her new husband Nigel in April this year in a relaxed ceremony at North Cadbury Court.  The couple wanted their wedding to feel like a house party.

"Everyone was roaming around everywhere enjoying the house and grounds at North Cadbury Court. We decorated the ballroom where we ate with liberty print table runners, giant balloons and tons of gorgeous flowers, which felt colourful and fun. I just loved seeing everyone having a good time."

"I visited a few places in London and got an idea of the styles that seemed to suit me. It was fun testing the waters and trying on heavily embellished dresses, huge princess dresses as well as some sexier ones too! But I did tend to be a little disappointed by the quality of the fabrics, which led me to the beautiful styles at Halfpenny."

"I was welcomed at the boutique by Izzy who was so relaxed and genuine and I just felt comfortable immediately. I was a bit like a child in a sweet shop wanting to try everything on and did need to be held back a little! There was one particular dress I had seen on Instagram, which I was desperate to try, and it did feel so special actually wearing these beautiful gowns that I’d been wondering about since getting engaged."

Jess chose the Lizzy skirt and Iris cami with the Iris lace jacket and a silver belt and we love her entire wedding day look.

"To be honest I never really had that lightning bolt moment everyone tells you about finding your dream dress - I tried on so many gorgeous outfits in Halfpenny and wanted them all! I loved the swing of the Lizzy skirt, which felt full without being enormous, and the simplicity of the cami let the belt and skirt do the talking. The beautiful fabrics just looked stunning and knowing it was going to be made for me was really special."

Huge congratulations to Jess and Nigel!  We wish you every happiness in your new adventures together.

Love,

Kate & the Halfpennys xx
